Spring Break Family Vacation

A while ago we were able to purchase an amazing packaged hotel deal that included free tix to Legoland. I just happened to book it over Emily's Spring Break and a week after Everett's 3rd Birthday. Yay us! We headed out Thursday with the kiddos and were able to get settled in our hotel and take a walk on the grounds before dinner.

The next day we planned to spend the whole day at Legoland. After breakfast we walked over to the park. We upgraded to hoppers and spent the following day, Saturday; at Sealife Aquarium. It was so much fun to be together and have this mini vacation. The kids were so well behaved and although it's a little awkward to have to share a hotel room with them; we have it managed so well.

Emily gets one bed all to herself and Everett slept in the pack n play, which is his preference. We settle them down to go to bed and we would go out on the balcony and have a nice bottle of wine and talk for a couple hours. It was so nice to spend time like that together for Frank and I. We enjoy being each others best friends and making all our plans together. We talked about our upcoming trip to Vegas and all our plans were hatched for that kid free getaway.

By far one of the best moments our entire trip was mini golfing in the park. You had to pay $20 for four people to play, and it was totally worth it. Both of our kids enjoy golf so much. It was a 26 hole course and we just went from hole to hole laughing at ourselves and the kids trying to play. We quickly realized there was no taking it seriously and that it was just good clean fun. At one point I found myself snapping so many pictures because the day was so gorgeous and we were all so happy , laughing and having such a good time. It was really a full cup kind of moment. I thank God every day for how He has richly blessed us with each other.

Legoland is great because they have several play areas. They are themed out and so much fun for the kids. There are no lines to wait in and the kids spent all their energy on these different play parks.
